seef. 2 As regards the proposed Advisory Comittee it was agreed that altho such a committee was not now essential in view of the state of the University finances it would be of assistance to Mr. Morse and would be most useful in advis advising generally on the affairs of the University. Sir William Peel, Mr. Morse,

Mr. N.L.Smith, ur. Channon (while available), a nominee of the Foreign office and a Secretary from the Colonial office were suggested for the Committee which could later, if necessary, co-opt other menbers

especially when dealing with the questions of granting Hong Kong degrees to its evacuee students.
